Today is my off day, and I’m sad to say this is also a very sick day for me. It’s not helping that my daughter is extremely active today. She’s emptied out the baby powder all over the floor and her body, that was fun to clean up. Then she decided she wanted to be an artist today so she took her crayons and scribbled all of over the kitchen floor and the window (I’m still working to get this cleaned up). Last but not least, she decided that she did not like what I gave her to drink, so she opened up her sippy cup and proceeded to pour the entire contents over my Amazon Fire Phone. Now it just continuously powers up and powers down. I’ve just set it in some rice.
Needless to say, to prevent myself from losing my temper, I had to put my daughter in her crib today for about 20 minutes just to take a few deep breaths. I don’t know what it is, but my baby took me to the max today. I had no choice. I’m actually writing this blog as I cool off from her. My time is almost up and I need to go get her, but my God, being sick does not give you an off day from parenting a toddler.
I suppose the reason I complain about it being hard the most is because I never truly got a break as a parent. When Sophie was born, she cried daily for hours on end up until six months old. We discovered she had not only colic, but acid reflux. Then a new fussiness developed right after, where my daughter was learning how to crawl and walk, so she cried a lot daily out of frustration for that. My daughter has a good schedule. She eats several times a day, has her favorite amazon shows that I let her watch, we read to her, take her outdoors 4-5 times a week for a few hours, and she has hundreds of toys. Yet still, I constantly have stressful days like this. I don’t know what the heck is going on, but I am begging the Lord to give me a moment, just a moment because I think my head is going to explode.
Alright, let me get you today’s free printable. It’s 300dpi and can be used on blogs, t-shirts, coffee mugs, web sites, etc. The files are in .png.
